Paul Odera

Kenya Rugby Coach

Paul Odera is a Kenyan rugby coach who played rugby union as a fly-half for several Kenyan clubs before retiring and becoming a coach. He has coached several teams in Kenya, including the Kenya U20 team, the Kenya Harlequins, and the Kenya Simbas. In 2019, he became the head coach of the Kenya national rugby union team, and he led the team to third place in the 2019 Africa Cup.

Odera’s most notable achievement was leading Kenya to victory in the 2021 Rugby Africa Cup, which also secured their spot in the 2023 Rugby World Cup. Odera is involved in rugby development in Kenya, working with the Kenya Rugby Union’s “Get Into Rugby” program to introduce rugby to children in schools. He is a respected figure in Kenyan rugby, known for his coaching skills and dedication to developing the sport in the country.
