
Emmanuel Ashamu
Emmanuel Ashamu has a diverse career dedicated to human performance, spanning professional sports, military service, and higher education. He is currently a Business Developer and Key Accounts Manager for VA SEVEN, a leading manufacturer of high-quality custom strength and conditioning equipment. He previously served as Assistant Director of Football Strength and Conditioning at Vanderbilt University (2021-2024).
Prior to Vanderbilt, Ashamu honed his skills training elite special operators of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command Africa (2019-2021) and Air Force Special Operations (2011-2019). Over course of his 8 years working for special operations he facilitated the construction of new performance facilities, researched and implemented tools to improve operational efficiency, and upgraded existing infrastructures on bases in the USA, UK, and Germany.
He has extensive collegiate experience at Bowling Green State University and the University of Virginia. Emmanuel began his career as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Amherst College (2006-2008), notably coaching the Lord Jeffs’ 2007 NCAA Division III men’s basketball team to national championship glory.
He is dedicated to social responsibility. In 2004 he was Awarded the prestigious Abele Fellowship for Action, volunteering in educational programs in Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa (2004-2005). Emmanuel Ashamu leverages years of experience shaping athletes at the highest levels with his combination of experience, expertise, and dedication.
